Facilities

Consistent with its philosophy of promoting personal growth, discovery and learning, the University of Nicosia offers both extra-curricular activities relevant to the needs of its students. In order to succeed in this, the University aims at continuously upgrading its educational and other resources. The following facilities are for the use of all students.

Computer facilities

The University of Nicosia has a distributed computer environment, which provides high speed connection to appropriate services and internet through a number of high performance local area networks.

Engineering labs

The engineering facilities serve the educational needs of the engineering students, as well as the research needs of the faculty.

Design Labs

The Architecture, Interior and Graphic Labs are fully equipped with sophisticated image, sound and video manipulation software, web animation and 3D rendering packages.

Mediazone

Mediazone is a busy and vibrant centre which offers a large variety of state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to students as well as media-related services to industry.

The University of Nicosia is also equipped with professional science labs to support the degree programs offered by the Department of Health and Life Sciences. In addition to this, for programs offered in Hospitality and Tourism area, the University is fully equipped with Hospitality Management facilities.

In addition to these, the University houses a cinema theatre on campus as part of its overall cultural contribution.

Other facilities accommodated in the University include a modern bookshop, student cafeteria, a fully equipped gym centre and one of the biggest libraries.

Fees

Tuition Fees are calculated on the basis of non-discounted Tuition Fees for each semester and annual Fees which amount to €4.500 (for 15 credits/teaching hours) and €9.000 (for 30 credits/ teaching hours)respectively. The universal calculating formula is based on the premise that tuition per credit/teaching hour is charged at € 300.

  • 15 credits x  €300 = €4500 per semester
  • 30 credits x  €300 = €9000 per year

All students applying from Kenya are entitled to 30% discount on their tuition fees for every semester. The tuition fees per semester including discount are €3150.

Applications

Students from Kenya can easily apply for a student visa by following these steps:

  • Send your completed application form to the Admissions office along with scanned copies of your education documents.
  • In order to apply for visa, the Admissions office needs to receive the following documents in order to apply to the Migration Department:
  1. Application fee euro 55 and migration fee euro 86
  2. attested passport copy
  3. attested bank letter
  4. attested police clearance certificate
  5. attested school documents
  6. attested medical report

All the documents from Kenya need to be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then by the Cyprus Embassy. Once the Admissions Office receives these documents, the application for visa will be sent to the Migration Department in Cyprus. After that the student will take an interview for visa at the Cyprus Embassy in Kenya, from where the visa is issued.
