At the Montreux Busines University, we aim to give students a business education with a difference: preparing students for the changing global marketplace of the 21st century through holistic personal development and high-quality education.

Our programs are designed to expand the students’ consciousness, humanistic values, self- management, and communication (among others) which they will need to become successful leaders. To accomplish this vision, our business program emphasizes eight areas of learning:

  • Theoretical and technological knowledge
  • Hands-on experience (real-life, open-ended projects)
  • Communication skills
  • Leadership
  • Information literacy abilities
  • Soft skills
  • Multicultural understanding thanks to study abroad programs
  • Sport activities

At the Montreux Business University, you will prepare your future in a positive and creative learning environment, mentored by successful professionals who will inspire you to become valuable leaders. Our innovative teaching paradigms is meant to foster critical thinking skills, leadership, team playing, reasoning power, problem-solving and decisions-making.

To us, students are more than students: they are the future actors of the business world. Therefore, we provide them with the opportunity to acquire the essential self-confidence, self- motivation, time and workload management strategies, work ethics, personal accountability, as well as teamwork and leadership skills through complex, real-world projects.

Facilities

The state-of-the-art facilities of the Montreux School of Business are housed in a beautiful Belle Époque building that first opened its doors as a sumptuous hotel in 1904. However, the MSB ideally combines both historic decors with highly modern facilities:

  • All the classrooms are equipped with interactive boards, a beamer and a laptop for the professor. Research has proven that a stimulating environment is conducive to optimal learning. At the Montreux School of Business, students study in beautiful classrooms that are airy, well lit, and equipped with state-of-the art technology.
  • The MSB also has an IT room with computers available for the students.
  • The students can enjoy their free time in the students’ lounge where they will find sofas, a TV with international channels, a DVD player and computers. All of our students agree that the Student Lounge, with its comfortable seating area, diffused lighting, background music, is the perfect place to relax, watch cable TV, read newspapers or magazines, or enjoy a coffee break with friends.
  • Since sound research is the foundation of a quality education, our modern library is where students can find access online to research material, such as journals and databases, as well as the necessary guidance to successfully complete their course projects. Also, separate meeting rooms are available for use by study groups.
  • The students can access the facilities of the MSB whenever they want, or need to, thanks to a very convenient fingerprint system.
  • Finally, at the Montreux School of Business we focus on educating the “whole person” through a holistic approach, which takes into account the relationship between physical fitness and academic achievement. Therefore, during their studies at MSB, students have the opportunity to participate in numerous sports and recreational activities that include swimming (indoor heated pool), tennis, football, skiing, fitness facilities, and sauna. MSB students have direct access to heated indoor swimming pool and fitness equipment conveniently located near the MSB campus.

Overview

The Montreux School of Business is a good private university, located in Montreux, in a beautiful part of Switzerland. The location of the university is absolutely amazing; students can enjoy the picturesque view of the Lake Geneva right from the campus. Switzerland has a very attractive position in the Center of Europe, which allows traveling easily. Thus, foreign students can travel around Europe; for example, Montreux is only 3 hours away by train from Milan and 4 hours from Paris.

I am currently finishing my bachelor degree at MSB, and I am very satisfied with the quality of education at the university. Since it is a private university, classes are not big, and professors have time for every student. All the lectures are very lively and interactive; professors often use various visual and audio materials. One of the reasons why the quality of education is very high at MSB, is the relationship between professors and students, professors treat students as equal.

Seminars are also given at the university with professionals from the business world who share their experience with the students. I think it is very helpful to learn from people who are currently running their business, as we live in a constantly changing environment.

Besides lectures and seminars, students can use the sport facilities, which are located 2 minutes away from the university by foot. It is very convenient, because I didn’t have to think about how I could spend my free time after studying, MSB thought about it for me. I go to the gym 3 times a week, and I also use the swimming pool and sauna. Students also have access to the tennis courts.

In general, the atmosphere at the university is very international and at the same time very friendly. We usually have special dinners all together and the university organizes open house days.

Students don’t feel lonely here at MSB, even if our hometowns are thousands kilometers away. The MSB is like one big family.
