Programme: BA in Logistics Engineering

Overview

Having already moved to Finland 6 months beforehand, I was surprised and glad to learn I had been accepted into JAMK’s Logistics Engineering Degree Programme. It presented me with a new opportunity to learn about something new in a completely different environment. I accepted the challenge with open arms and I feel like I have improved as a person since I began my studies in 2007.

JAMK is a warm and friendly place where technology and innovation pave the way to a student’s success. Whether it is the different types of engineering labs, the IT centres, the modern library or up-to-date classrooms, JAMK provides all the necessary tools and instruments to ensure that each student can achieve their best.

With five international bachelor’s degree programmes in English on offer at JAMK as well as two master’s level programmes, there is a large variety of courses from which students can pick. Lecturers are very knowledgeable in their fields of teaching and can provide a practical view to students due to their experience in working life.

As an Australian I really appreciate cultural diversity; something that JAMK really thrives on. There are many different cultures present here ranging from all over Europe and the Americas to Africa and Asia. Working with different people from around the world gives you a new perspective on life and teaches you new things you cannot learn in any other way. Whether you are a degree or exchange student be sure to know that you will get the opportunity to associate yourself with people from many different backgrounds.

JAMK is a very modern school that can provide you with the learning you need in order to progress quickly in your working life. Help is there when needed and the general atmosphere of the school is just something you need to experience for yourself. I would recommend JAMK to anyone looking for that place to kick-start their life.
