In the south, 47% of people aged 25-34 possess some tertiary education – one of the highest percentages in the EU. These students tend to be mobile, with 78.7% at some point studying in a university outside the Republic of Cyprus. Traditionally, many parents in the Republic of Cyprus strive to send their children to university in the UK.
