The 34th ICIEP International Education Fair Russia is a top student recruitment event for undergraduates, postgraduates and people with professional work experience. The fair will take place in Moscow and St Petersburg, Russia  in April 2020. The fair will be organised together with the Nordic International Education Tour with its last leg in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Russia

The Russian government has revealed plans to encourage students to study abroad, by funding up to 10,000 students a year to attend some of the world’s leading universities. According to a recent survey, education investment has become the favourite choice of many Russian parents. Students and parents alike are looking forward to finding out about opportunities to study abroad, making this event essential both for visitors and recruiters. International experts forecast that by 2020 Russia may enter the top-5 list of leading “demand states” in the world educational market, and the amount paid for education by the Russian students will triple.

The number of Russians receiving an education abroad has grown significantly over the last few years, with English language programs being the most popular courses according to data released by AcademConsult, a local study abroad agency for Russian students.

Every year more and more Russian students pack their bags and go to study abroad. The most popular destination is Europe, Canada, USA. Latest survey indicates that every third Russian student who is going to study abroad selects United Kingdom, every sixth-seventh - France or Germany. Study in Finland, Turkey, Sweden and Netherlands is more and more attractive for many young Russians. High quality of Swiss education in the field of hospitality industry is well-known here. USA and Canada are the most popular destinations for studying abroad outside of Europe.Other destinations are Australia, New Zealand, India, Malaysia, etc.

Denmark

More Danish students are choosing to spend part or all of their higher education studies abroad.

The Danish Government has recognised the importance for its country and the Danish Science Minister has made it clear that even more students should have an international element to their higher education.

”International knowledge and experience benefit the individual student and society as a whole. It provides insight into other countries’ development and culture and makes graduates more attractive to Danish and international employers. It is therefore crucial that in the face of global competition, more students study abroad” says Morten Østergaard, Minister of Science.

The Danish Government has released an action plan for internationalisation which contains a number of initiatives to encourage even more Danish students to study abroad. The action plan for internationalisation will make it easier and quicker for students to study abroad. A number of financial and administrative barriers and have reduced the case management times. The Nordic Educational Tour will give you an excellent opportunity to familiarise with the Dannish student market and meet high-quality potential students face-to-face.

Fair Outline

Each day will attract 1,500 - 2,000 attendees, including secondary school leavers, first, second and final-year university, graduates with work experience, low-level managers and mid-level managers.

The fair attracts exhibitors from countries worldwide, including several governmental bodies and/or their education promotion arms such as CEAIE, Study in Hungary, Study in Cyprus, EducationUSA, Study in Korea,  Spanish Embassy, CampusFrance, the Canadian Education Centres Network, German Academic Exchange Service and DAAD.
